It’s all gone, so we begin a new travel guide

Here's what might have remained of Hipster Travel Guide after the WordPress program blew up and the site went down.

Here’s what might have remained of Hipster Travel Guide after the WordPress program blew up and the site went down. We have since decided to just rebuild the site and take things from there.

After countless attempts to figure out the coding problems of Travel Guide, we decided to pull the plug and start all over. The old HTG, more than 2000 stories, photos and general wisdom has melted away into cyber space.

It is virtually and literally gone. There is no stack of papers in the corner to serve as reminders that it once was, it’s simply gone, like the photo staff at the Chicago Sun Times. (In both cases, it’s not very funny.)

But what can you do but overwrite the wrong and start again. As I mentioned in an earlier post, we are just going to have to rebuild everything, keeping a close eye on the TSA, looking out for cool travel deals and other fun and interesting stories. Of course, we hope you take the time to read them and offer us suggestions along the way, but if you don’t, as you’re feeling overwhelmed by everything, well, that’s fine too.
